I purchased the edition of this. The patterns are fine -- the usual Leisure Arts quality, easy to follow, clear. But the formatting leaves a lot to be desired. Leisure Arts isn't alone in this shortcoming -- many publishers of crochet patterns simply do a file dump to create the version and never think about how using an electronic copy of a pattern might differ from how we use printed patterns.
For example, finding the corresponding photo for a pattern is not easy. Some pattern books include a clickable link with each pattern so you can quickly navigate to the photo and back again. Others reformat the pages so that a small photo is included on the same page as the pattern. I ended up adding "Notes" via to each pattern's first page stating where to find the photo for that pattern ("Cover," "Location 47," etc.).
Then there are a few text formatting issues, where in the middle of an instruction, the text turns into

making it extremely difficult to follow.
As I said, the patterns (except for the few that have the text formatting issue) are fine. I've made several of them using size 10 crochet cotton thread and a 1.75mm hook to create coasters, so they're versatile in that way. But some may find the formatting to be an issue.
Overall -- 4 stars excellent patterns, minus 1 star for formatting issues.
I love this book. I've made most of the dishcloths. They come out beautiful and are fast and easy to make, but I don't understand why people are asking such a huge amount for a used copy.
I will enjoy this book for years to come. Will make some great Christmas gifts for my family and friends.
